Glen died in bed with a cigarette in his hand, drugged unconscious with smack. Glen was, in my opinion, one of the best baritone players the world has seen.

Dick Jordan, who was a good friend of Glen, said:

When Glen was living in Lymington Road he often popped up to the club on his days off and once told us how he’d just made his easiest buck in a recording studio just by playing a few notes. Georgie Fame had just recorded ‘Get Away’ his 1966 single where at the end of each chorus there’s a single note played on Glen’s baritone sax. Whenever I hear that record I always think of Glen and what a wasted death.
